About your opportunity

The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) Department is responsible to support the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) facilitation of safe, effective, and sustainable healthcare services. The Electronics Technician will undertake such electronics work as may be required in construction and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment within Townville Hospital and Health Service.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

Salary range: $93,556 to $101,328 p.a. (TO3)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

Mandatory: Restricted Electrical Licence (QLD)
Mandatory: Possession of a diploma, advanced diploma or agreed equivalent from an Australian University, Registered Training Organisation (e.g., Trade Certificate coupled with further training and/or relevant experience), or an overseas qualification deemed equivalent by the Australian Government and/or relevant registration body.
Highly regarded: Unrestricted Full Electrical Fitter, Electrical Mechanic Licence.
Highly regarded: Open cablers registration coupled with relevant endorsements.
Relevant experience and/or certified training in operation and maintenance, fault finding, and repair of Significant Electronic Systems and Equipment, ICT software applications and Engineering Network Infrastructure in a healthcare environment.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
Travel may be required throughout the Townsville HHS catchment area.
Licence to Operate Vehicle: Class C motor vehicle licence required.
Aged Care Pre-employment screening.
