About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Biomedical Engineer II to join our team based in Seven Hills and working in a Field Based role within our Technical Services Department.

The primary responsibility of the Biomedical Engineer is supporting and growing the Fresenius Kabi Medical Device business in the field and workshop, through developing relationships with customers and providing a superior customer service experience. Ideally the successful candidate will have 3-5 years experience in a technical support role. In this position you will perform maintenance activities for Infusion, Transfusion and Auto-transfusion Medical Devices, within both Public and Private healthcare facilities across Australia.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Technical Services: The role will involve installation, diagnosis, repair and calibration of equipment in the workshop and on-site in healthcare facilities around Australia. You will also have the opportunity to plan and support installation and work in multiple sites in collaboration with the Technical Services Team and Account Managers. This role also provides the opportunity to further develop your engineering skill set to effectively troubleshoot defective equipment.

• Customer Service and Support: You will also work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to provide exceptional service to our customers in relation to technical components, fault-finding procedures and spare part management.

• Administration: A key component of the role, will be keeping accurate documentation, to ensure compliance with standard processes and formats. This will be achieved by completing service reports, responding to customer queries in a timely manner, and keeping updated with relevant Technical Service bulletins.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Advanced Certificate (minimum) in Electronics or related field
• Experience within a technical customer support role or field service engineer role with strong communication skills
• A current Australian Driver’s license and ability to travel interstate and work outside of standard office hours
• Knowledge in Information Technology and networking will be desirable
• A proactive, responsible, and cooperative team player with good time management skills
• High attention to detail and able to work under pressure

NB: The Biomedical Engineer position requires you to work in public and private hospitals. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check and provide evidence of required vaccinations.
