About the role
As a Senior House Officer Medical Imaging Research, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and gain experience in medical imaging research within the Department of Medical Imaging at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Working closely with the Director of Research and departmental researchers, you will support the development, coordination and delivery of innovative research projects while building your research and clinical expertise.
This role combines research support, project management and medical responsibilities, including participant assessment, data collection and analysis, ethics submissions and study coordination. You will contribute to the development of new imaging research projects, support publication and presentation of research findings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist in fostering a strong research culture within the department.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Support the development, implementation and coordination of medical imaging research projects, including ethics submissions, study management and participant engagement.
Provide medical and research support for departmental projects, including participant assessment, informed consent processes, data collection and clinical research activities.
Develop and undertake imaging research projects while collaborating with clinicians, researchers and multidisciplinary teams to identify new research opportunities.
Analyse data, prepare manuscripts and contribute to conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications to disseminate research findings.
Provide guidance to junior researchers, support ongoing research studies and contribute to the operational requirements of the Department of Medical Imaging Research Office.
