The Radiology department is located at the main site in Ararat. It supports EGHS clinical services by offering services in Ultrasound, CT, X-ray, Bone Density Imaging and Theatre Imaging for both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will work in a team of both Radiographers and Sonographers whilst having support from our excellent administration staff and a team of rotating radiologists.

About The Role

As a Radiology Nurse, you will:

• Provide nursing care and support of all patients whilst in the Medical Imaging department
• Support the Medical Imaging staff in the safe and effective delivery of services
• Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, patient-focused environment
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Plan, deliver, evaluate and review care in partnership with the medical imaging practitioner, patient/resident, their families/carers and the multidisciplinary team
• Ensure safe practice in line with EGHS policy, guidelines, and best-practice standards

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate nurse with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care.

You will have:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Experience in Radiology, Perioperative or Acute Care, or a genuine interest in developing your skills within Radiology and the specialised procedures we perform
• Confidence and competence in IV cannulation
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals
• A demonstrated commitment to holistic, patient-centred care
• Experience using electronic medical records, Radiology systems and booking platforms, or a willingness to learn

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
