Remuneration: Dependent on Qualification
- Health Manager Level 1: $1,682.93 - $2,238.92 per week
- Medical Records Manager Grade 1: $1,995.00 per week
In addition to base salary,12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging + Flexible Working (subject to approval)

Liverpool Hospital is seeking a motivated Clinical Coding Auditor/Educator to join its dynamic team on a temporary full-time basis.This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth while contributing to the accuracy and compliance of clinical coding practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting coding education and training, enhancing healthcare data quality, and ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

- Support a collaborative and high-performing Clinical Coding team dedicated to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in healthcare data quality.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring coding accuracy and supporting best practice standards across the department.
- Develop and provide education and training to clinical coders, enhancing knowledge, capability, and consistency within the team.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders to review, audit, clinical documentation, and improve clinical coding practices, strengthening data integrity and reporting outcomes. - Strong attention to detail with a focus on coding accuracy and compliance.
- Effective communication and active listening skills to support coder engagement and education.
- Experience in clinical coding auditing and education, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Unique opportunity to combine auditing and education to improve coding quality and team capability. Responsibilities include audits, education, and supporting complex coding queries.
- Relevant coding qualifications and experience in ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS required.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Degree or Associate Diploma in Medical Records Administration or Health Information Management or other relevant health related qualification and /or experience relevant to the role.
- Proven coding experience with detailed knowledge of The International Statistical Classification of Diseases And Related Health Problems, Tenth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM).
- Experience in conducting, documenting and communicating quality improvement activities particularly as they pertain to the clinical coding area.
- Excellent standard of verbal and written communication skills, with excellent report writing and data presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of casemix measurement systems in relation to the hospital environment as well as current developments in activity based funding.
- Proven experience in database management, particularly using MS Access as well as proficiency in all MS Office products.
- Experience with computerised patient administration systems.
