Remuneration: $82,253.78 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About the role:

This Intern Pharmacist position is a 12-month training position in which a Pharmacy graduate from either the Bachelor or Masters course (or equivalent qualification) is given the chance to gain the necessary skills and experience to satisfy the requirements for registration as a pharmacist in Australia.

As the Intern Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Provision of a clinical pharmacy service in accordance with the SHPA Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Services.

  • Participating in Ward rounds with clinical pharmacists, undertaking medication reconciliation on admission and transfers of care.

  • Attending orientation, training and staff meetings as required

  • Participating in departmental Quality Assurance activities

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Successful attainment of an Australian recognised Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy Degree.

  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacology and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical situations.

  • Ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a team.

  • A good understanding of the role of the Hospital Pharmacist in achieving optimal healthcare outcomes

  • Current Australian working rights
