What your day could look like

As a Pharmacist Intern, you'll help deliver safe medication services that improve patient outcomes. Working alongside experienced pharmacists, you'll build your clinical skills while supporting patients and contributing to high-quality care across the health service.

Every day, you'll contribute by:
Supporting the safe and timely supply of medicines to patients.
Working with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication use and care outcomes.
Developing your clinical capability through medication reviews, patient education and structured training.
Contributing to quality improvement and education initiatives that enhance patient care.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Eligibility for registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA), including an approved pharmacy qualification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with patients and colleagues.
Sound clinical knowledge and a commitment to safe, quality use of medicines.
A collaborative mindset, willingness to learn and ability to work responsibly within a supportive team environment.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in hospital, regional or rural healthcare settings and/or a demonstrated interest in quality improvement, education or research activities.
