Consultant Cardiologist- Locum basis

Opportunity to work in Mackay, Queensland, as a Consultant Cardiologist at a well-established private cardiology clinic with over a decade of service. This role is ideal for a professional who wants to escape the hustle of the city for the relaxing, tropical Mackay region, earn a regular income, and have the option to build a patient base for interventional cardiac procedures at their own designated location.

The clinic has an extensive network of referring doctors in the region and a loyal patient base with extended patient waiting periods. The clinic offers on-site specialist cardiac consultations and non-interventional investigations including echocardiography, exercise stress echocardiography, ECGs, Holter monitors, and 24-hour blood pressure monitors.

The candidate will work alongside a cardiac sonographer, cardiac nurses, and administrative staff. The role does not entail on-call shifts or interventional cardiology procedures unless the candidate is keen to perform them at their own designated location.

Position details:

- Patient consultations

- Participate in Exercise Stress Echocardiograms

- Reporting echocardiograms, Holter and ABP

Remuneration: 50-55% share of gross income per day (estimated daily earnings $2500- $3500)

Locum period: 1- 2 weeks every 2 months (ongoing)

Applicants must:

• Be registered as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA and have the right to work in Australia

AND

• Have a Medicare Provider Number for the provision of specialist services in Australia
