Rheumatologist- Internal locum

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Rheumatologist to work as a locum for leave cover which may include ward and consults service and outpatient clinic setting for up to 12-months.

Work across three outpatient clinics, including two general clinics at Box Hill Hospital and the Metabolic Bone Clinic at Maroondah Hospital on alternating Friday mornings. Join a dynamic and supportive team that includes an accredited Advanced Trainee based at Box Hill Hospital, providing a collaborative and rewarding clinical environment.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current AHPRA registration and qualification as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) recognised as a Rheumatologist
The ability to work with your peer group including specialists, other clinical and administrative staff at Clinics and Wards
Passionate with supervising and teaching juniors
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
