GP West Medical Group is seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to join our growing team.

GP West have been serving the medical needs of the local community throughout Perth metropolitan area with 15 Medical Centers operating. GP West employ over 130 medical and non-medical staffs who help to deliver the needs of the community in an efficient way. All medical centers are AGPAL accredited for quality in health care.

The Role:

An exciting new opportunity has opened up for a bubbly enthusiastic, experienced medical receptionist.

We are seeking A candidate to start straight away and are looking to find the perfect fit for our family friendly team.

The Medical Receptionist role is the primary point of contact for our patients, doctors and allied health providers.

The successful applicants would be appointed as a Casual employee to work in Waikiki and nearest locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting patients professionally and warmly
  • Managing a busy switchboard and handling phone enquiries
  • Booking appointments and maintaining doctors’ schedules
  • Patient data entry and record management
  • Generating invoices and processing payments
  • Processing Medicare claims
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • Supporting doctors and team members with requests
  • General ad hoc administrative duties

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Medical Receptionist
  • Previous experience in general practice or medical clinics
  • Willingness and ability to travel across North, South, or all Perth metro areas
  • Ability to work flexibly on a casual basis, including short-notice cover
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Best Practice software experience (highly regarded)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and remain calm in busy environments
  • Reliable, adaptable, and a strong team player
