About Us
We are a friendly, family-owned plumbing business with a close-knit team consisting of one director, multiple installers and two administration staff. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, high-quality service while maintaining a supportive and positive workplace culture.
We're looking for an organised, proactive and personable Office Administrator / Office Manager to become an integral part of our team. Once established, you'll become the primary point of contact for the office, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working independently and being trusted to keep the business running smoothly.
About the Role
Working closely with the Director, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the business and supporting our team of installers. - Preparing and issuing completion certificates
- Processing remittances and general accounts administration
- Liaising with contractors, supervisors, clients and the general public
- Responding to phone and email enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Coordinating the daily schedules of our installers
- Providing administrative support to the Director as required
- General office administration to ensure the smooth running of the business
About You
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an administration, office management or office support role (experience within a trade or service industry is highly regarded)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A professional, friendly and customer-focused approach
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the office
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Basic bookkeeping or accounts administration experience
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- A reliable, proactive and self-motivated attitude
What We Offer
- Salary of $85,000 pro rata (equivalent full-time salary)
- Permanent part-time role (3 days per week) Monday - Wednesday
- Work-from-home flexibility following successful completion of training
- A supportive, friendly and flexible family business
- The opportunity to take ownership of an important role and become a valued member of a close-knit team
How to Apply
If you're an experienced administrator who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a varied role and is looking for the flexibility of working from home while making a genuine contribution to a supportive family business, we'd love to hear from you.
Please submit your resume together with a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you believe you'd be a great fit for our team.
