Full job description
The purpose of this role is to deliver medical physics services that support the safe and effective use of diagnostic imaging technology, contributing to radiation protection, quality assurance and continuous improvement across Queensland Health.
What you'll do
In this role you will participate in quality control and radiation protection programs across a range of diagnostic imaging modalities including CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and nuclear medicine. You will provide scientific advice to clinical teams, assist with equipment procurement and acceptance testing, contribute to quality improvement and research projects, prepare technical reports, support the development of clinical procedures and protocols, deliver education and training, and help optimise diagnostic imaging performance and patient safety.

Holds a recognised Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Physics
Has strong scientific, analytical and problem-solving skills
Has an interest in medical physics, diagnostic imaging and radiation safety
Can communicate effectively with clinical and technical stakeholders
Works collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Is committed to professional development and continuous improvement
