Contribute to the coordination and delivery of the Master of Medical Physics program at the University of Sydney

Base Salary $113,634 - $125,896 (pro-rata) p.a + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The School of Physics at the University of Sydney is the leading physics department in the country, with outstanding staff and students undertaking world-leading teaching and research. With access to supercomputers, modern laboratory facilities and observatories–locally, nationally and internationally–we conduct research across a vast range of interests from quantum science to clusters of galaxies.
We are currently seeking an Associate Lecturer / Unit Coordinator (Medical Physics) to support the delivery of the Master of Medical Physics program, ensuring timely coordination, administration and delivery of the Units of Study that form the program.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
-
collaborate with School leadership to develop and deliver outstanding teaching and learning outcomes
-
coordinate and manage units of study, including assessment design, moderation, marking, and feedback processes
-
contribute to the design, development, review, and continuous improvement of Medical Physics curriculum, learning materials, and assessment activities
-
provide academic guidance, mentoring, and pastoral support to students, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
-
contribute to teaching and learning practice, design and evaluation within the School and Faculty.
About you

a PhD in Medical Physics or related field

experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum, assessment, and innovative teaching practices that enhance student learning, engagement, and continuous improvement

demonstrated ability to coordinate units of study and contribute to curriculum renewal and quality assurance initiatives
-
a commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and student-centred learning environment that promotes academic success
-
accreditation and/or evidence of professional practice and experience in medical physics, radiotherapy or medical imaging related field would be highly desired.
