Job Description


Kickstart your career in Health Physics with a hands-on role in our Radiation Services team in Notting Hill. Working alongside experienced Physicists, you'll gain valuable exposure to regulated, technical and field-based projects while developing your expertise in radiation monitoring, safety and technical service delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support delivery of radiation-related projects across Australia
  • Assist with fieldwork including surveys and site-based activities
  • Collect and analyse data, contributing to technical reports
  • Help calibrate radiation monitoring equipment (NATA/ISO standards)
  • Provide basic technical input to support client enquiries
  • Prepare documentation and assist with quality processes
  • Contribute to project preparation, execution and reporting
  • Assist with maintaining and organising technical data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for ongoing and future projects
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical enhancements to processes
  • Contribute to maintaining laboratory and field equipment, including basic checks, preparation and upkeep
  • Stay up to date with relevant industry practices and regulatory requirements, applying learnings to support team activities

Qualifications


About you

You’re a motivated science professional with a strong interest in radiation safety and applied physics.

  • Degree in Physics or related science discipline
  • Understanding of radiation safety principles
  • Exposure to Australian or international guidelines (desirable)
  • Awareness of Victorian regulatory frameworks (advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
