If you are a Registered Nurse and have less than twelve (12) months experience in an acute healthcare facility, we have an excellent opportunity to join St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba (SVPHT) ST RAPHAELS WARD - MEDICAL UNIT within our supportive New Practitioner Program.

• 0.8FTE permanent position within our medical department

• 11mth supportive New Practitioner Program commences from your date of hire

• Rostering includes public holidays, weekends, and rotating day/evening/night shifts

GRADUATE INFORMATION SESSION:

An Information Session about the New Practitioner Program offered at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba will be held between 1530 - 1630hrs on Tuesday 8th September 2026 in the ACU Room within the Clinical School, L2 (Entrance 4).

During this session, the Staff Learning & Development Manager and Clinical Nurse Educators responsible for the New Practitioner Program will be available to discuss the content of the programs as well as answer any questions you may have. St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 197-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology, radiology, and pharmacy are also available on site, and our emergency department is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

• copy of current drivers' licence or passport

Accompanying documentation must include:

• APHRA Registration certificate or indication of eligibility for registration as a Registered nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Nurses and Midwives board (AHPRA)

• Eligibility to work in Australia with VISA evidence supplied

• Completed Position Description document, ensuring Inherent Requirements of the Role has been signed
