Full job description

The role of medical receptionist is a very critical role. The successful candidate will support the vision and mission of Centenary Medical Centre in coordinating the clinic and staff to a standard of excellence.

  • Pay rate will be discussed based on experience and in accordance to the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
  • Opportunity to move to Full time/Part time employment for the successful candidate.
  • Start date is ASAP

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience with Best Practice or Medical Director is MUST
  • Manage appointment schedules
  • Working knowledge of Medicare item numbers for general practice
  • Assisting clients with booking appointments with specialists and other providers.
  • Work effectively within a team and also able to work independently.
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Display a professional manner via phone and with patients in the clinic setting
  • Able to multitask and display fantastic organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments and processing payments.
  • Banking
  • Organising incoming correspondence and directing to the appropriate health professional.
  • Liaising with patients and their families and assisting with arrangements for their care.
  • Assisting our GP's and allied health providers with required administration tasks.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
