Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the hospital or clinic front desk
• Manage appointment scheduling and calendar coordination
• Handle inbound calls and patient enquiries
• Process patient registrations and maintain accurate medical records
• Support medical billing and payment processing
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative teams
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with Australian healthcare privacy regulations
• Update patient information using medical software systems (Best Practice, Medical Director, Pracsoft, Genie or similar)
• Ensure smooth daily front office operations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administrator, or Front Desk Officer
• Experience in hospital, clinic, or specialist medical practice preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical software
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
