Medical Receptionist — Tugun, Gold Coast
Full-Time
Wahini Health is a holistic women's health practice dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centred care across obstetrics, gynaecology, and women's wellbeing. We're looking for a warm, organised Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Tugun practice on a full-time basis.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional experience from the moment someone walks through our door or calls our practice. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a supportive team genuinely passionate about women's health.
Key Responsibilities
● Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism● Manage appointment bookings, rescheduling, and patient enquiries (phone and in-person)● Process billing, payments, and Medicare/health fund claims● Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality● Support day-to-day administrative functions of the practice● Liaise with clinicians, specialists, and allied health providers as needed● Assist with general practice tasks to keep operations running smoothly
What We're Looking For
● Previous experience in a medical or allied health reception role (preferred)● Excellent communication skills and a genuine, caring manner with patients● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail● Comfortable working with practice management software (Gentu)● Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment● A team player who values discretion, empathy, and professionalism
