Job Description:
Job Opportunity: Medical Receptionist (Casual) – NSW
***IMMEDIATE START***
We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our busy medical practice. If you have a passion for patient care and strong communication skills, we’d love to hear from you!
Location: Merrylands, NSW
Hours: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (Must be available for both morning and afternoon shifts)
Availability: 2–3 days per week (flexible days between Monday-Saturday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients and managing appointments
- Manage bookings, phone and email enquiries, and front desk operations
- Processing billing and Medicare claims
- Maintaining patient records in line with privacy and confidentiality standards
- Providing general administrative support to the Doctor
- General housekeeping
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) (Essential)
- Arabic speaking (preferred)
- Valid drivers licence
- Owns their own vehicle
Skills & Experience:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional phone manner and presentation
- Computer literacy, and experience with practice management software (Pracsoft, Medical Director, Proda) preferred but not essential
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong problem solving and time management skills
· High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting (Desirable)
