Hargreaves St Medical Practice is looking for a friendly, reliable casual receptionist to join our front-desk team on weekends. We’re a busy, well-established practice with consultations running Saturdays and Sundays, and we need someone dependable to keep reception running smoothly during those shifts.

About the role

Casual position, working Saturday and Sunday shifts on a regular roster. Ideal for someone seeking flexible weekend work in a supportive, non-corporate practice.

Duties

• Greeting patients and visitors warmly on arrival
• Answering and managing a busy multi-line phone system
• Scheduling, confirming and rescheduling patient appointments
• Processing Medicare, DVA, HICAPS and private billing at reception
• Managing patient records and updating details in our practice software
• Handling script and results enquiries in line with practice protocol
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception and waiting area
• Liaising with GPs, nurses and allied health staff throughout the shift

What we’re looking for

• Previous reception or customer service experience — medical reception highly regarded, but not essential
• A calm, friendly and professional phone manner
• Comfortable working independently during weekend shifts
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Availability every Saturday and Sunday
• Familiarity with Best Practice software is an advantage, though full training is provided
