Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is an established and well-respected pathology practice offering comprehensive, high-quality pathology services across New South Wales and northwest Victoria. Our culture of Medical Leadership drives excellence in patient care and service provision for our referring doctors.

Position description

We are seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Pathology Collectors to join our vibrant Patient Services Team. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring
  • Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled
  • Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures
  • Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory

  • Is open to working part-time hours on a scheduled roster, Monday to Sunday.

  • Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High-level attention to detail and record-keeping skills.

Prior to commencement, all candidates must provide documentary evidence of the following:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Commitment to annual influenza vaccination.

A National Police Check (completed through DHM), Working with Children clearance and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) will be required prior to commencement.
Please note that our program requires a non-negotiable minimum 20 hours per week commitment.
