About the Role

As a leading provider of outsourced medical administration and practice management services, we support specialist, surgical and general medical practices across Australia, delivering exceptional service and support behind the scenes. We are looking for a compassionate, organised and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our Brisbane team. This is an opportunity to build a rewarding career in healthcare administration, supporting a variety of medical specialists while making a genuine difference to patient experiences every day.
Working from our Brisbane office, you'll become a trusted point of contact for patients, doctors and healthcare providers, helping ensure practices run smoothly and efficiently. You'll also gain exposure to a range of specialist areas, workflows and practice management systems, including platforms such as Gentu, Clinic to Cloud and similar software, making this an excellent opportunity to broaden your healthcare administration skills.
This is a full-time permanent position, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with no weekend or public holiday work. You'll also enjoy the flexibility of working from home one day per week.

Key Accountabilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, doctors and healthcare providers.
- Manage a high volume of patient enquiries, handling approximately 80 calls per day with professionalism and empathy.
- Book, coordinate and manage appointments across a variety of specialist practices.
- Liaise effectively with patients, referrers, hospitals, specialists and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Process medical administration tasks and maintain accurate patient records using cloud-based systems.
- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of multiple medical practices.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture focused on delivering outstanding service outcomes.
- Previous experience in customer service, administration or medical reception (medical experience is desirable but not essential).
- Exceptional communication skills with a warm, professional and empathetic phone manner.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and helping others.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Confidence using technology and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Experience using medical practice management software, or the ability to quickly learn multiple platforms such as Gentu, Clinic to Cloud and similar systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A positive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach, with sound judgement, initiative and integrity.
