Full job description

We are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team at the Parramatta and Norwest practices. You will commence as a casual, with shifts between 8:15 – 5.15pm Monday to Friday with the view to becoming permanent part time or full time within 6 months.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll be the friendly face and reassuring voice that sets the tone for their visit. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly by coordinating appointments, managing patient records, and supporting our clinical team so they can focus on delivering world-class care.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and empathy.
  • Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and follow-ups using our specialist medical software.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with privacy regulations.
  • Process billing and Medicare claims efficiently.
  • Respond to patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person with clarity and care.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare administration role (specialist clinic experience highly regarded).
  • Proficiency with medical practice management software (e.g., Shexie or similar).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a warm and professional manner.
  • A commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for helping others.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.0 – 30.0 per week
