Veterinary Receptionist – Full-Time

Hall Veterinary Surgery is looking for a friendly, organised and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team!

As the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, our reception team plays an essential role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment clients walk through our doors. You will work closely with our veterinarians and nursing team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our busy veterinary practice.

About the Role

This is a full-time position suited to someone who is professional, approachable and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming clients and their pets and providing warm, friendly customer service
• Managing appointments and coordinating the daily diary
• Answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries
• Processing payments and handling general billing enquiries
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client and patient records
• Liaising with veterinarians and veterinary nurses to support the smooth running of the practice
• Assisting clients with empathy, professionalism and understanding, particularly during difficult or emotional circumstances
• Providing information to clients regarding appointments, treatments and general practice services
• General reception, administration and practice support duties
• Helping to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area

About You

• Can confidently multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
• Is reliable, professional and well presented
• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Has a genuine passion for animals and their health and welfare
• Enjoys building positive and lasting relationships with clients
• Comfortable handling sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience is preferred, with veterinary or medical reception experience highly regarded.
