Our clinics in Bundaberg are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team on a Full time or Part-time basis. Working between our IWC clinic and the Friendly Society Private Hospital with core hours between 7am-5:30pm.

Role Overview : As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Patient Interaction:

  • Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously.
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.
  • Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).
  • Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC/CTP, DVA and Workcover.
  • Handle internal emails and inquiries.
  • Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.

Collaboration:

  • Work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously.

Confidentiality:

  • Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite).
