What Youll Be Doing

• Partnering with Scientific Talent: Build relationships with scientists, laboratory professionals, quality specialists, and technical experts, helping them identify exciting career opportunities aligned with their skills and goals.
• Managing End-to-End Recruitment: Take ownership of the recruitment process from vacancy briefing and candidate sourcing through to offer management and successful placement.
• Building Client Partnerships: Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, becoming a trusted recruitment advisor within the scientific community.
• Candidate Sourcing & Attraction: Utilise job boards, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and market mapping strategies to identify top scientific talent.
• Industry Expertise: Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and workforce developments within Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Food Science, and Environmental sectors.
• Consultative Recruitment: Provide market insights, salary benchmarking, and hiring advice to both candidates and clients.
• Innovating Recruitment Delivery: Apply creative sourcing methods and best-practice recruitment techniques to deliver exceptional results.
• Driving Business Growth: Support business development activities, identify new opportunities, and contribute to the continued success of the Perth office.
• Maintaining Recruitment Systems: Ensure candidate and client information is accurately maintained within internal CRM systems and databases.
• Creating Positive Experiences: Deliver a professional, consultative, and engaging experience throughout every stage of the hiring journey.

What Were Looking For

• Scientific Background: Bachelors degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Environmental Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Industry or Recruitment Experience: Previous experience working within a scientific environment or recruitment setting is highly desirable.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with people and building long-term relationships.
• Relationship Builder: Naturally personable, consultative, and motivated by helping others achieve success.
• Highly Organised: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Commercial Awareness: Interested in business development and identifying opportunities to grow client relationships.
