Salary package: $81,296 - $87,954 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation
Term: Part-time (0.8FTE), Fixed term (up to 6 months)
The Position
The Research Assistant plays an important role within the research team, supporting the design, delivery, and administration of research activities. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the role assists with experimental procedures, including participant recruitment, data collection, testing, and statistical analysis. The position contributes to the preparation of reports for stakeholders and funding bodies, supports the timely and budget-conscious delivery of projects, and identifies relevant funding opportunities. The Research Assistant also provides coordination support for meetings, communications, travel, and events, while contributing to workshops and professional networks to strengthen research practices and industry knowledge.
The successful candidate must hold Australian citizenship to meet the eligibility requirements associated with the nature of this position and the conditions under which the work is undertaken.
The School
The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) was established in 2023 to bring together expertise from Medicine and Psychology to develop a unique educational and research environment. The focus is to produce psychologists, researchers, and medical graduates who practice compassion, conscience and professional excellence, and with a knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and culture. The school partners with a number of healthcare organisations to deliver teaching and training including but not limited to ACT Health, community practices throughout the ACT and Southeastern NSW
