Salary: $68,244.80 - $73,923.20 p.a plus super
Analyse genomic data to support life-changing clinical diagnoses
Work alongside geneticists, bioinformaticians and clinicians
Join a world-leading team advancing precision genomic medicine
The opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Genomics, you'll be involved in all aspects of the diagnostic testing pathway—from specimen processing and genomic analysis through to variant interpretation, report generation and quality management.
You'll work within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, contributing to complex case discussions, service improvements and the ongoing development of world-leading genomic testing services, including pre- and early-pregnancy genetic screening.
What you’ll do
Analyse and interpret genetic and genomic test results
Assess variant evidence and contribute to clinical reporting
Participate in multidisciplinary case review meetings
Maintain compliance with NATA/NPAAC quality and accreditation standards
Support quality assurance, method validation and continuous improvement activities
What you’ll bring
A Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science, Honours or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS)
Knowledge of the molecular basis of human disease
Experience in molecular genetics, genomics or a related diagnostic or research environment
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality patient outcomes
