To provide the best possible radiographic service, ensuring a high quality of patient care. Strive to maintain a "best practice" department with regard to patients, visitors, staff and codes of practice. Participate in a rotating roster (24/ performing a range of medical imaging related services as part of a multidisciplinary team and working independently at times. Utilise imaging equipment in general, mobile, operating theatre, fluoroscopy and CT locations to produce optimal diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure complemented by a range of IT products including PACS & Radiology and Hospital Information Systems across multiple hospital sites.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

Wollongong is located an hour’s drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west.   • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Degree in Medical Radiation Science
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as a Medical Radiation Practitioner (Diagnostic Radiography).
  • Current I14 Radiation Licence from NSW EPA
  • Valid NSW Drivers Licence
