About the role

Maclean District Hospital is seeking an Administration Officer Level 3 to provide administration and clerical support to the manager and team, to facilitate proficient operation of the clinical information service.

  • Demonstrated relevant administration experience, preferably in a medical records department. A certificate in medical terminology or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience of computerised systems, including Microsoft Office applications. Experience using hospital patient administration, electronic medical record and/or document scanning would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience with NSW legislation and policy related to record management and privacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, prioritise and complete work assignments within tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both effectively within a team environment and independently.
