What your day could look like
As Medical Superintendent, you'll play a key role in strengthening care delivery for a rural community, balancing clinical practice with leadership to drive safe, high-quality outcomes. From providing urgent care to leading multidisciplinary teams, your work will shape both patient experiences and service improvement.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings
Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team to enhance care practices and outcomes
Driving continuous improvement through clinical governance, quality initiatives and innovation
Connecting with the broader health network to coordinate care and strengthen community health outcomes
Let's talk about you!
You're a confident and compassionate clinician who thrives in a leadership role where your decisions directly impact a community. You bring integrity to every interaction, lead with respect, and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo to improve care. Whether guiding a team through complex situations or supporting patients and families, you take pride in delivering meaningful outcomes where it matters most.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Current registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA
Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
Strong clinical capability across a broad scope of practice, including emergency care
Proven ability to lead, collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience working in rural or remote settings and a passion for mentoring and developing others.
Most importantly, you're committed to delivering safe, high-quality care while building trust, improving outcomes and making a lasting difference in a regional community.
