Customer Care Position (Full-Time)

Join our award-winning group of three independent small animal hospitals.
At Greater Springfield Veterinary, we don’t offer ‘jobs’ – we offer long-term careers in a place where people genuinely love to come to work. We’re looking for a customer-focused professional who genuinely cares about people and creating great first impressions.
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, can think on their feet, and loves being part of a team where no two days are ever the same.

About Us

Family-owned and proudly non-corporate, we’ve built a supportive workplace where teamwork, sustainable workloads and strong leadership are genuinely valued. This is reflected in our high long-term staff retention and the positive culture we continue to nurture.
Our motto, ‘Excellence with Heart’, guides everything we do:
  • Thoughtful, evidence-based medicine supported by excellent facilities, ongoing education and a commitment to clinical quality.
  • Strong, trusting relationships with the people and pets we care for, and with each other.
  • Balanced, sustainable outcomes – decisions that combine compassion, practicality and long-term wellbeing.
  • A workplace where people can thrive, feel valued, and are able to perform at their best.
Our core values set the standard for how we behave, how we care for pets and their guardians, and how we treat one another.
We are proud to be an Employer of Choice accredited practice, recognising excellence in leadership and workplace culture.
We are also the first Carbon Neutral certified veterinary practice in Queensland. Caring for pets is at the heart of what we do – but that care also extends to the planet on which we live and work.

Position Overview

As a Customer Care team member, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a seamless customer experience.
Our clinics are vibrant, busy and full of energy. From welcoming clients and answering phones, to managing appointments, supporting the veterinary team and helping clients through emotional or unexpected moments, every day brings something different.
This is an exciting, fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys being on the go, working with people, problem solving and making a meaningful difference in the day of every client and pet who walks through our doors.
This position is available full-time, with shifts on a rotating roster Monday to Saturday, with different shorter or longer shifts between the hours of 7am and 8pm weekdays, and 7am and 3pm shared Saturdays.

Day to Day, You’ll:

  • Deliver excellent front-facing client care, creating a calm, welcoming and supportive experience.
  • Balance competing priorities while staying calm, organised and friendly.
  • Maintain client records and files through our medical management software.
  • Manage appointments, reminders and email inboxes in a busy clinic environment.
  • Handle phone calls through a multi-line phone system.
  • Process payments and invoices accurately.
  • Rotate though our three hospitals on different days/weeks.
  • Support the clinic and managers with a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Help maintain front-facing hygiene standards.
  • Be part of a fast-moving team where each day brings new clients, new pets and new challenges.

Requirements

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • A passion for people and the genuine desire to provide excellent client service.
  • Experience in front-facing client care, with a strong focus on professionalism, warmth and service excellence (veterinary, healthcare, animal care reception experience highly regarded).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle priorities in a busy environment.
  • Confidence with computer software and typing (experience with medical software highly beneficial).
  • A collaborative and pro-active mindset and a great energy.
  • The ability to stay positive, calm and solutions-focused when things get busy.

What we offer

  • A warm, supportive, and collaborative workplace that truly feels like home.
  • Ongoing opportunities for training, professional development, and career progression to senior or lead roles.
  • A role where no two days are the same – busy, rewarding, and filled with variety.
  • EAP access, and an in-house wellness team.
  • Flexible rostering and a good work-life balance.
  • An exceptional team to work alongside – you won’t be ‘just a number’ here!
  • A role that is hugely rewarding and full of variety.
