Full job description

Get Readii Group is a Registered NDIS provider delivering services to participants with a psychosocial disability in community. We believe that community is one of the most important areas with achieving recovery as we all live our lives in community, those with disability too. We are looking for support workers with experience or interest in mental health and psychosocial disability to provide community access supports.

As a mental health support worker, you will be responsible for:-

  • Guiding and developing daily routines in the home to promote independence

  • Community participation with supporting informal and formal connections

  • Providing non judgemental and client centred care to reduce isolation and marginalisation

  • Collaboration between informal and formal supports to aid in recovery

  • Effective reporting and documentation of all interactions with participants

Key Skills Required:

  • Clear communication skills to gain trust

  • Active listening to collaborate effectively with formal and informal supports

  • De-escalation techniques to identify and address the early warning signs of distress

  • Application of professional boundaries in community

  • Competent driving skills

Essential Requirements:

  • Blue Card / Yellow Card

  • National Police Check

  • Queensland Driver’s License & Own Vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance

  • Cert III or equivalent

  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

  • Current Infection Control Certificate
