Your new role:
Make a meaningful contribution to consumer care by providing advanced clinical and administrative support to Allied Health Professionals within Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services. Working under delegation and supervision, you will play an important role in supporting high-quality allied health services and coordinating allied health assistant activities across the service.

Deliver advanced clinical support including specialised screening, therapy programs, patient education and contributing to treatment implementation for consumers with complex needs under the direction of Allied Health Professionals.
Coordinate day-to-day allied health assistant workloads across disciplines, supporting service delivery requirements, planned and unplanned leave coverage and changing clinical priorities.
Support the safe and effective delivery of care through equipment management, stock control, documentation and maintaining therapy resources and assistive devices.
Contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary environment by participating in team activities, supporting quality improvement initiatives and mentoring less experienced allied health assistants and students.

About you:
You will bring strong allied health assistant experience, a collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering person-centred care within a multidisciplinary mental health setting.

Demonstrated ability to deliver advanced allied health assistant interventions under delegation, including therapy support, patient education and clinical assistance for consumers with complex needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with Allied Health Professionals, consumers, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
Proven ability to prioritise workload, coordinate competing demands, support other allied health assistants and work confidently within a delegated scope of practice.
A commitment to safe, high-quality and inclusive care, with experience contributing to service improvement and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
