Pay: AU$45.27 per hour (casual rate, inclusive of 25% casual loading), based on SCHADS

About the role

District 360 is looking for a compassionate and reliable Casual Support Worker to join our team in Girrawheen and surrounding areas. In this role you will support NDIS participants with personal care in their own homes and with getting out into the community.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants flexible casual hours and finds real satisfaction in helping people live more independent lives.

What you will be doing

  • Assisting participants with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing and grooming
  • Supporting participants with community access, including outings, appointments and social activities
  • Helping with daily living tasks such as meal preparation and light domestic duties
  • Providing transport to appointments and activities where required
  • Recording shift notes and reporting any changes in a participant's needs or wellbeing
  • Following each participant's individual support plan and working within NDIS Practice Standards

What you will need

Essential

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Quality, Safety and You)
  • Current First Aid certificate and CPR
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine, person centred approach to care

Desirable

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
  • Manual handling training
  • Previous experience supporting people with disability
