Full-Time Metal Fabricator

Location: Melbourne, VIC
Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Salary: $79,500 – $80,000 per annum + Superannuation

We are seeking a full-time, ongoing Metal Fabricator to perform fabrication, assembly and related metalwork duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Measuring, marking, cutting, shaping and assembling metal components.
  • Determining materials, fabrication methods and work sequences.
  • Operating fabrication equipment, machinery and hand tools.
  • Fabricating and fitting metal parts and structural components to specification.
  • Checking fabricated components for accuracy, alignment and quality.
  • Performing welding, grinding, finishing and assembly work where required.
  • Identifying and rectifying fabrication issues.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe work area.
  • Working with supervisors and other tradespeople to complete work safely and efficiently.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in metal fabrication, structural steel or general engineering.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Current driver’s licence preferred.

Employment Terms

  • Full-time ongoing position.
