We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable HR Driver to join our team for Melbourne Metro operations. As an HR Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within the Melbourne metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate heavy rigid (HR) vehicles for local deliveries within the Melbourne Metro region.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and secure cargo for transportation.
• Follow designated routes, considering factors such as traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, trip sheets, and any required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to provide updates and address any delivery-related issues.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable transport laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid HR driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as an HR driver, preferably with experience in Melbourne Metro deliveries.
• Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks and freight handling and security.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Understanding of devices to ensure photographic proof of collection and delivery is recorded.
