Full job description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to café standards.
  • Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
  • Recommend menu items and upsell beverages, food, and specials where appropriate.
  • Ensure every drink is presented consistently and meets quality standards.

Coffee & Beverage Preparation

  • Dial in espresso and maintain coffee quality throughout the day.
  • Steam milk to the correct texture and temperature.
  • Prepare hot and cold beverages according to recipes.
  • Monitor stock levels of milk, coffee beans, syrups, and other bar supplies.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Keep the coffee station clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times.
  • Clean espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment according to daily schedules.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety procedures.

Teamwork

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Assist teammates during busy periods.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a professional workplace culture.

Customer Service Standards

  • Greet every customer warmly.
  • Handle customer concerns politely and professionally.
