The Role

The Dyno Nobel Moranbah Plant is a fully-integrated Ammonium Nitrate complex based in Central Queensland. The facility comprises ammonia, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.

Reporting to the Emulsion Team Leader you will be responsible for meeting safety, production volume and quality targets in a team environment. Additionally, you will be required to resolve operating issues as they arise utilising consultative methods across site departments. The site has a strong focus on continuous improvement, and will seek input from all levels to contribute to best practice.

On a daily basis, this role will see you:
Collect samples and carry out basic Analysis

Maintain a shift log that records key elements of the plant status, process, parameters and equipment availability

Monitor plant condition and intervene if necessary

Perform minor maintenance on plant and equipment if competent to do so and assist in maintenance activities to aid in the timely restart of the plant.

Participate in execution of start-up and shutdown of plant when required

Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement

Administer basic tests to assist process control ensuring quality and service standards are achieved

Interact with Truck Drivers during loading and unloading process

Safely and efficiently operate a Forklift

About You
