Your opportunity

Planner/ Scheduler

M2P Engineering

Brisbane, QLD > Salisbury

Category > Project Controls / Planning & Scheduling

Full Time

At M2P, we do fabrication and construction differently, for better results for our clients. Our size and expertise mean you’ll gain new knowledge and chalk up experiences you won’t get elsewhere - from working on projects that supply structural steel, pipework and plate fabrication into industries that include everything from mining to renewables, power generation, civils, and electrical work.

As our valued Planner / Scheduler, you will play a vital part in ensuring SMP projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard. Based onsite at our workshop in Salisbury, you’ll draw on your planning and scheduling expertise to coordinate fabrication project timelines, manage dependencies, and track progress across multiple projects.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Developing and maintaining project schedules in line with client and internal requirements
  • Coordinating with project teams to monitor progress and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Preparing reports and updates for stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines
  • Supporting risk management by identifying potential delays and proposing solutions

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or similar
  • Proven experience in project planning & scheduling (preferably in fabrication, construction or industrial sectors)
  • Proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Experience with Strumis MRP software a plus
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience in multi-disciplinary projects
  • Knowledge of workshop fabrication, construction or industrial environments
  • A flexible and collaborative approach, willing to step in where needed

Why M2P Engineering?

We’ve come a long way since starting out in 2017.

Right from the beginning, we brought a different approach to engineering construction in the mining, industrial and marine sectors. A better way, built on smarter thinking and real care – about the job, the client and the team.

First, we punched above our weight. Now, we’re up there, toe to toe with the biggest and oldest in the industry. And we’re proud to compete and win.

So, what can you expect from a career with us?

Well, it’s about three things:

  • Work. The way it should be. We take pride in quality work, completed to spec and on time. Things can’t always go according to plan, of course, but we’re proud to exceed expectations and deliver on what we promise.
  • Your career. The way it should be. With so many interesting projects to get stuck into, there’s ongoing work and a stable future here. Just give it a solid go, do the job well, and we’ll look after you.
  • A real team. The way it should be. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with an honest, reliable and respectful team. We’re mates looking after mates, and when the going gets tough, that’s when we step up for you the most.

You’ll also enjoy a range of other benefits:

  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • A supportive, team-first culture
