About the role Hawkins Industrial Contracting is seeking a talented Mining Plant Operator to join our team in Far West, NSW. As a Mining Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of mining facilities, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of mining equipment. This is a full-time position that will provide you with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

What you'll be doing

• Operate a variety of mining equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and haul trucks, to extract and transport materials

• Perform regular maintenance and inspections on mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

• Collaborate with the mining team to identify and implement process improvements

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to equipment usage, maintenance, and production

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Mining Plant Operator or similar role in Heavy industry/Manufacturing/Forestry

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues

• Drivers Licence

• Ability to pass a pre-employement and ongoing Drug and Alcohol Testing
