Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide document management support by using ECMS (Enterprise Content Management Systems), distributing, maintaining, and retrieving project records in accordance with company guidelines. You will assist with customer service, questions, issues, updates, quality checks, and project closeout activities. Your attention to detail and data accuracy will help ensure successful compliance with document and records management procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECMS) such as Aconex and InfoWorks and archival/retention management systems such as DocFinity, and other associated tools
  • Uses standard Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), archival/retention management systems, and/or SaaS applications to register, control, distribute, transmit and archive project records
  • Interacts with end users to support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Monitors and ensures timely closure of support tasks/incidents
  • May support migration and/or upgrade events

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5–8 years relevant experience, or 9–12 years of related work; minimum 5 years in document control (preferably with Aconex).

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Aconex; intermediate to advanced skills in SharePoint Online/OneDrive; basic to intermediate in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power BI.
  • Document Management: Strong knowledge of document control principles, records archiving, revision control, and project documentation standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, including grammar, spelling, and syntax; ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process & Collaboration: Skilled in workflow development, process improvement, and stakeholder coordination across project teams and contractors.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reviewing, logging, distributing, and maintaining large volumes of documents.
