See it differently
You see the world through a unique lens and that’s exactly what we need. We embrace how you see things differently – it’s essential for creating a sustainable future.
We guide, plan, and design the future of the built environment. As a global consultancy with extensive technical and advisory expertise, we bring a Total Design approach to our work with our clients. This is how we shape a better world. Globally, each year we recruit hundreds of graduates to help us see things differently and solve the most complex challenges facing our clients, climate and communities.
The Opportunity
A career at Arup offers you the chance to make a positive difference in the world.
Independently owned and independently minded, Arup is the creative force at the heart of many of the world's most prominent projects in the built environment. When you join Arup, you immediately become part of our global community working on some of the world's most recognised projects.
As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting acoustic assessments for a variety of building construction, environmental and infrastructure projects aimed at improving public amenity, health and the environment.
You will work closely with senior consultants to undertake noise and vibration assessment and control for building, industrial and infrastructure projects. Your role will involve analysing acoustic data, noise and vibration monitoring, performing noise and vibration calculations, conducting 3-D noise modelling prediction, and supporting noise mitigation solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in acoustics while contributing to impactful solutions.
Our graduate experience offers you:
- Purpose-driven work: Join an employee-owned team tackling climate, biodiversity, and social challenges, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
- Create remarkable outcomes: We trust you to explore challenges, drive change, and create lasting outcomes for our clients, climate and communities.
- Inclusive culture: Your unique perspective matters. We celebrate diversity and foster a supportive, social environment where everyone belongs.
- Career growth: Grow your skills through innovative projects, training, and mentoring in a supportive environment. We invest in your future.
-
Work-life balance: Our hybrid model offers flexibility to balance work with your life. We balance your needs with our clients and communities.
Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for:
Changemakers: A passion for sustainable development and creating a better world is key.
Innovative minds: We’re looking for critical thinkers who embrace new ideas and challenge the status quo.
Growth seekers: You have a growth mindset, always eager to learn and explore new ways of working.
Adaptable adventurers: You’re ready to take on any challenge that comes your way.
Eligibility:
To be considered for a graduate opportunity your application must include a copy of your academic transcript and meet the following criteria:
- Full working rights in the country of application
- No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
- Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree before employment starts
Please note, in the event of high applicant volume, this role may be closed ahead of the advertised closing date. Early application is recommended.
What we offer you
Guided by our values, we provide a fair and equitable total reward package and offer a career in which all our members can belong, grow and thrive through benefits that support health and wellbeing, a wide range of learning opportunities and many possibilities to have an impact through the work they do.
Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to utilise your technical expertise to do meaningful work that strengthens the resilience of communities and places to improve lives through Arup's community engagement programme.
