Full job description

Location: Primarily Box Hill and Burwood, with opportunities to work across other SIA Medical clinics as required.
Availability: be available to provide leave coverage and support increased staffing needs during the Christmas and January holiday period.

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

This role offers variety and flexibility, with successful candidates required to work across different SIA Medical clinic locations based on operational needs. This provides an opportunity to work with diverse teams, support different communities, and expand your experience within a dynamic healthcare network.

Requirements

Essential

  • Fluent Mandarin language skills (spoken and written) due to the communication needs and demographics of the local patient community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Willingness and ability to work across different clinic locations based on operational requirements.

Desirable

  • Previous customer service, reception, retail, hospitality, or administration experience.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or medical environment is advantageous but not required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn medical practice software.
  • Experience with Medicare, medical billing, or health insurance processes is highly regarded.

Licences & Certifications

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to meet any required vaccination and healthcare compliance requirements.

Pay: From $33.71 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 20.0 per week

Work Location: In person
