About the role
As the Multicultural Community Wellbeing Officer you will facilitate integrated and collaborative design and delivery of strategic projects, partnerships, education, awareness, advocacy, and preventative initiatives to increase participation, facilitate cultural awareness, ensure meaningful inclusion, and improve health and wellbeing across the Inner West. You will undertake stakeholder engagement and management to address issues, respond to identified needs, and use innovative approaches to optimise the delivery of community initiatives, early intervention and to build social capital by connecting people to place and each other.
Working as a strong team player, you will assist your Coordinator and colleagues in consistently working to meet the team’s targets and commitments against the performance plans and Council’s Operational and Strategic Plans. You will be community focused and work collaboratively with the Community Wellbeing Coordinator and Manager Community Wellbeing, to ensure the success of the service unit.

Remuneration
$91,316.16 - $110,998.16 + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in social science, human services, community development work, community services or other relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working in human/community services with culturally diverse community members and developing and delivering projects and initiatives/services to meet their needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with diverse multicultural communities, fostering inclusion and supporting equitable access to wellbeing services and opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in managing tasks, scoping projects and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong written and interpersonal communication, collaboration, community engagement and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and high-level computer skills.
