Multicultural Coordinator General

Lead transformational outcomes for Victoria’s multicultural and multifaith communities
We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on the role of Multicultural Coordinator-General, to lead engagement with multicultural and multifaith communities, foster intercultural understanding and respect, and be a voice for communities to government.
This is the key leadership position in Multicultural Victoria, a proposed new entity that will bring together community engagement, policy and program delivery for communities.
Reporting to the Minister for Multicultural and Multifaith Affairs, the Coordinator-General will lead Multicultural Victoria as well as drive significant reform and collaboration initiatives across Victoria, provide trusted advice on significant policies and services benefiting multicultural and multifaith communities.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • extensive connections within Victoria's multicultural and multifaith communities, and an ability to represent various viewpoints without bias.
  • a demonstrated track record of senior leadership in service delivery, government, infrastructure, policy, planning, regulation or related sectors
  • experience leading large-scale, complex programs and delivering outcomes in dynamic environments
  • outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels
  • strong strategic thinking, judgement and problem-solving capability
  • exceptional communication skills, including the ability to provide concise and influential advice on sensitive issues
  • a commitment to public value, integrity and inclusive leadership
