About the role:

Operating within Digital Innovation & Change , the National Manager, AI Lead will provide strategic leadership and expert guidance to drive ACU's adoption and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI). As a senior AI practitioner within ACU the position will shape, design and oversee the development of enterprise wide AI capabilities that enhance student, staff, academic faculty and researcher experiences, improve operational efficiency, and unlock new opportunities for innovation across the university. Operating as both a strategic advisor and delivery enabler, the National Manager, AI Lead will coordinate AI discovery activities, manage technical oversight of solution delivery, support capability uplift across the organisation, and ensure the AI ecosystem remains current, safe and fit for purpose. This role fosters a culture of innovation, responsible experimentation and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that AI initiatives deliver measurable value and contribute to the university's long term digital maturity.

What we offer:

  • The University pursues an excellence agenda and offers an environment where staff are welcomed and safe, and valued through development, participation and involvement.
  • Total remuneration valued to $181,480 - $181,480 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $153,581 - $153,581 (pro rata) pa (HEW 10 Base 1), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
