Full job description

Super Retail Group is the proud owner of four iconic brands: Supercheap Auto, rebel, BCF and Macpac, and is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest retailers. The talent of our teams and their passion for providing an experience which inspires and enhances our customers’ leisure time drives our culture of innovation and opportunity.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced National Operations Excellence Manager to lead the transformation of our retail Distribution Centre and Supply Chain network. This newly created role will establish and drive a new Operational Excellence program across our Supply Chain Logistics function, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, governed and executed with consistency and impact.

Leading a team of Operations Excellence Specialists, you will translate strategy into actionable programs of work, embedding best practice processes that enable safe, compliant and cost-effective product flow across the network. You will play a critical role in delivering measurable outcomes, uplifting capability, and driving a sustainable cost advantage across the Logistics function.

With accountability for end-to-end implementation, this role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery—partnering with operational teams to coach, influence and embed lasting improvements that strengthen performance at scale.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Leading and owning the end‑to‑end implementation of national Logistics, from concept through to embedded execution.
  • Coordinating and overseeing delivery across all Logistics teams to ensure consistent implementation.
  • Ensuring that all initiatives enhance or maintain safety, regulatory compliance and risk controls.
  • Developing a National Operational Excellence Program and leading the application of structured problem‑solving and CI methodologies to improve network performance.
  • Supporting sites through change by ensuring clear handover, training, and adoption.
  • Establishing and maintaining governance frameworks for all Operations Excellence initiatives.

This role offers the flexibility to be based in Brisbane (Strathpine, preferred location), Sydney (Rhodes), or Melbourne (Truganina).

About you

We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Supply Chain leader with a strong track record of delivering operational excellence across complex logistics networks. You bring proven experience in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to translate strategy into practical, executable programs that drive measurable outcomes.

With a hands-on approach, you are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to deliver initiatives as you are leading and developing high-performing teams. You excel at influencing and partnering with stakeholders at all levels, building alignment and driving accountability across diverse operational environments.

In addition, you bring:

  • Proven track record in Operations Excellence or Continuous Improvement leadership, along with a passion for embedding sustainable change, with a focus on safety, compliance, and cost efficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-site or network-wide operational improvement programs
  • Change management and transformation delivery experience
  • Strong capability in performance analysis and benefits realisation
  • Strong people leadership experience, with a focus on developing teams and uplifting capability

WHY JOIN US?

  • You’ll get to join for an organisation with a culture that is driven by innovation and creating awesome experiences for our customers and teams, and will get to work alongside a diverse team across Super Retail Group that is representative of the communities we work in.
  • Super Retail Group is a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation holder.
  • We are committed to your professional development and will support on-going opportunities for both learning and progression.
  • You will get access to generous discounts across all Super Retail Group brands, as well as access to our Perks Programme, including discounts on Health and Wellbeing, Entertainment, Travel and Accommodation and more.

Our Culture of Inclusion
