We’re looking for a National Workers Compensation Manager to partner closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will influence mindset and behaviours, improve outcomes for injured workers, and deliver measurable reductions in claims cost and duration across a large scale, multi-site FMCG environment.

This is an opportunity to elevate an established business-critical capability - reducing risk, improving outcomes, and partnering closely with leaders across operations, P&C and finance to lead strategy, uplift capability and embed a proactive, prevention first culture.

The Opportunity

You’ll step into a role with strong foundations already in place - but with opportunity to:

Influence key operational sites to reduce claims and cost
Build on and strengthen stakeholder trust and engagement
Lead a consistent, national framework for workers compensation

This role sits at the intersection of people, risk, and performance - and has real enterprise impact.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Leading the national workers compensation strategy and performance
Driving claims governance, consistency, and decision-making discipline
Partnering with site leaders, P&C and finance to improve outcomes
Identifying trends and using data to reduce risk and prevent claims
Embedding early intervention and return-to-work best practice
Managing a proactive, insight-led capability across the network

What Success Looks Like

Accurate and supported claims volume and cost
Strong stakeholder alignment and trust
Supporting consistency across sites
Workers compensation embedded as a strategic partner – with strong partnerships across operations, P&C and finance

What We’re Looking For

Experience

Senior workers compensation leadership in a multi-site or operational environment ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or a related sector
Strong understanding of claims, RTW, and injury management and delivering improved return to work outcomes
Experience working across complex regulatory environments (scheme and/or self-insurance)

Capability

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
Strong commercial thinking - can link claims to business performance
Ability to move from data to insight to action
Experience shifting teams from reactive to proactive ways of working

Leadership Style

Collaborative and relationship-led
Calm, credible and pragmatic
Commercially aware but genuinely people-focused
Able to influence without relying on authority

Location & Flexibility

Flexibility available, with an expectation of visible leadership presence which will require travel to locations across our network.
