The Level 3 dietitian works within the department providing a higher level of clinical expertise and knowledge to a specialised clinical area such as diabetes, mental health, palliative care, oncology etc.

The dietitian will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to manage the nutritional needs of their patients/clients/consumers.

This position is able to demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and operate autonomously with minimum direct supervision.

The Level 3 dietitian is able to provide clinical services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.

They are also responsible for the clinical supervision and support of Level 1, 2 health professionals, technical and support staff.

The Level 3 dietitian is involved with the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting on clinical services across the ISLHD.

The position may be required to work a 7 day rotating roster and rotate between sites within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District as required.
